POSITION OVERVIEW
Safety Assurance Engineer reporting to BOL Development Center.
As Safety Assurance Engineer will support Safety Assurance Manager to collaborate and interface with:
- Program Core team (PM, Architect, ... )
- Engineering Metiers (Hw, Sw, System, V&V;, …)
- Quality & Internal Safety Assessors
- Signaling Safety network
MAIN MISSION
- Perform the activities (under the governance/guidance of the PSAM) related to Programs safety assurance. Activities are mainly related to software domain
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the Safety activities for a defined product, supporting the Safety Assurance Manager to:
- Deliver/perform Safety analysis under the guidance of the Program Safety Assurance Manager, with the strict application of process as per Signalling Safety Instruction
- Participate to the elaboration of the Safety Reports and the Safety Case under the guidance of the PSAM
- Apply the safety assurance methodologies (risk acceptance criteria, safety analysis) defined for the product
- Support actions contributing to close the findings of the assessors (Internal or External)
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE (profile)
- Mandatory: Educational Requirements : University Degree level in Electronics/Telecommunications/Software Engineering/Computer science or equivalent)
- Mandatory: English operational in reading and writing for technical documentation
- Mandatory: Software knowledge
- Desiderable: Electronics, engineering knowledge
- Experience : At least 2 years of working experience in software assurance
- Required Knowledge & Technical Competencies Able to read SW Source Code (main programming languages, e.g. C/C++/C#, ADA, Phyton) and understand SW safety architecture and design principles Some knowledge of Cenelec Standards for Safety (e.g. EN50128, etc.) Able to understand product requirements and safety principles of both composite and reactive safety architectures
- Behavioural Competencies Structured and organized; Fast learner; Rigorous Ability to execute software analyses, design reviews and evaluation of assigned products using sound engineering principles, in accordance with product requirements Possess a strong work ethic and be task focused. Sense of urgency and attitude to respect the committed milestones maintaining the highest levels of quality in the produced activities
