Immedica is searching for a person who could start up the Italian affiliate and ensure a solid and successful growth of the company in the region For the establishment of the Italian Affiliate, we are looking for a General Manager Italy, Greece, Cyprus & Malta. Purpose of the position The Regional Director Italy, Greece, Cyprus & Malta is responsible to lead, build and develop Immedica ́s organization and business operations in Italy, Greece, Cyprus & Malta ensuring a successful growth of the company in the region. The position is new, which gives the right candidate the opportunity to build and create a successful operation in the region from the very beginning. The role is key for securing short term deliverables, but also critical in creating alignment and dedication to the Immedica vision and long-term objectives. Immedica is in a very expansive phase, where launching capabilities and experience are of critical importance. Main responsibilities Contribute to Immedica ́s vision and long- and short-term strategy by leading a profitable growing business in the region Italy, Greece, Cyprus & Malta Lead local business operations across the portfolio in line with global strategy and local needs. Establish credible and well-working relationship with internal and external stakeholders to secure Immedica as a solid and trustworthy company in the region Deliver on financial targets, with P&L-responsibility; for the region. This includes for example identifying cost-saving measures for the region like negotiating with wholesalers/pharmacies, implementation of innovative sales initiatives and tender management. Build and manage a solid country organization with sufficient resources and capabilities to deliver on and above expectations. This includes recruitment and management of a high-performing team with the necessary competences. Manage the day-to-day business, including ensuring relevant business processes are well implemented and full compliance to internal and external policies and legislation. Orchestrate cross functional teams which includes close collaboration with for example Medical, Supply, Regulatory, Quality, PV and Finance teams. Playing an active role in the Regional Director Leadership team, ensuring commitment to the Immedica values as well as the creation of a best-practice-sharing culture. Utilize Immedica ́s current product portfolio in the region and take an active part in business development projects when relevant enabling the future growth of the company. Education/ skills/ training requirements Minimum 10 years experience from relevant management position within pharma industry Experience of rare diseases and/or the field of hematology/oncology, as well as proven successful launches in the field. Education: University degree in the field of science or business Fluent in English Outstanding knowledge and understanding of external health care environment and market access in the region, with main focus on Italy. The position will be based in Italy and will report to the Head of Northern & Southern Europe.
