Senior Fleet Supply Chain Manager, 12-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC), Global Fleet and Products
We are seeking a Senior Fleet Supply Chain Manager for a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. The role is crucial in enhancing Amazon’s culture and supporting the success of our Delivery Service Providers (DSP) within the fast-paced Amazon Logistics organization. The Fleet Scheduling Team continually assesses the needs of new and existing DSPs, allocating various vehicles to support growth. This position also plays a key role in expanding our Electric fleet.
The Fleet Supply Chain Manager must influence diverse stakeholders and communicate deployment plans effectively, working backwards from their needs.
Strong negotiation skills are essential for collaborating with partners such as Central Ops, FMCs, and Rental Suppliers to develop mechanisms for tracking and controlling deployment planning. The primary focus will be on scaling efficiently by optimizing fleet utilization.
The preferred locations are Milan, Luxembourg, London, Paris, or Munich.
Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with senior stakeholders across Fleet Operations, Physical Supply Chain, Finance, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Variable Fleet, and DSP Management to model and define decisions for efficient short/medium-term deployments (<10 weeks).
2. Conduct deep dives and risk assessments during demand fluctuations or operational disruptions, advising on backup plans such as rental procurement and fleet reallocations.
3. Design and report on supply ramp progress before and after peak periods, ensuring visibility and buy-in from internal teams.
4. Bridge short/medium-term plans (<10 weeks) with long-term plans (>10 weeks),
highlighting risks and opportunities to meet financial targets.
5. Support or own LEAN initiatives and cross-country processes related to vehicle audits, defleet incentives, and financial assessments.
Basic Qualifications
- A degree
- Experience in fleet, supply chain, or logistics industry
- Experience in business ownership, partnering, and analysis
- Proven ability in reporting and data analysis
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel
- Excellent communication skills with high attention to detail
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Ability to prioritize multiple engagements
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced or master’s degree
- SQL proficiency
- Understanding of fleet management KPIs
- Fluency in French or German
