PhD Position 1: Energy-efficient architectures for embedded AI in space
The Image Processing and Learning (IPL) Lab at Politecnico di Torino is recruiting two highly motivated PhD students to join their team on this cutting-edge ERC-funded project.
The positions are as follows:
Onboard and edge AI, with a focus on ternary and low-precision quantization techniques
Development of low-complexity attention mechanisms and state-space models (SSMs)
Investigation of inverse problems and computational imaging, particularly in multi-view and multi-sensor contexts
Study and design of satellite swarms and constellations
PhD Position 2: Learned consensus-based inference for distributed systems
Distributed inference and consensus algorithms for space-based systems
Decentralized and distributed optimization techniques
Inverse problems and edge AI
Communication-efficient learning methods
