Location and working environment

- Type of role: Full‑time, permanent.
- This position is field based in Italy, covering Sicilia, with 50% travel expected. Preference for candidates based in Palermo or Catania.
- Some limited, occasional travel in Italy (including overnight stays).
- Hybrid working solution is allowed in accordance with Astellas’ Responsible Flexibility Guidelines.
Purpose & Scope
-
- As a Product Specialist in nephrology, you deliver scientific information on assigned Astellas products and execute related marketing activities within your territory.
- You work closely with the internal team—including the Product Manager, Medical Manager, and Market Access—to ensure all actions align with the company’s commercial strategy.
- You will join an inclusive team committed to developing innovative therapies that improve patients’ lives.
Roles and responsibilities

- Visit specialist doctors at hospital facilities in your designated area identified as target figures, with the frequency defined by your direct manager for each quarter.
- Conduct proper analysis and management of the assigned territory based on the indications of your direct manager.
- Verify monthly sales performance, investigate deviations from forecasted data, identify causes, and propose solutions to your direct manager.
- Actively participate in the organization and coordination of promotional initiatives, including national and international conferences and local training courses.
- Stay updated, study,
and deepen scientific and promotional topics related to products and conditions; prepare adequately for periodic meetings.
Required qualifications

- Master’s degree in health‑related science or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in a field‑based product specialist or sales role is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze territory and achieve performance targets.
- Willingness to travel as required.
