Essential Requirements
- You must have a CELTA, Trinity TESOL, or equivalent initial teaching qualification
- The role is open only to those with the right to work in the EU.
- You must have a degree (e.g. BA, BSc)
- You must have full mastery of English across all 4 skills to CEFR C2/IELTS band 8
- An undergraduate degree
- Minimum two years’ teaching experience
- Proven ability to teach learners of different ages and abilities
- Experience teaching Very Young Learners and teenagers
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- A professional, flexible and positive attitude
- A genuine passion for teaching and learning
Preferred Experience & Skills
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Experience preparing students for Cambridge ESOL examinations
- Experience teaching Cambridge International Curriculum subjects
- Experience with PON/PNRR projects in Italy
- Online teaching experience
- Knowledge of Montessori educational approaches
- Working knowledge of Italian
- Experience teaching EAL learners in international school settings
- Familiarity with bilingual or multilingual education

International House Oxford Group Lecce is currently recruiting two professional English language teachers to join our growing academic team from September 2026.
Located in the stunning Baroque city of Lecce in the heart of Salento, Puglia,

We are a well-established language school and international Montessori educational institution delivering high-quality English language instruction and bilingual education to a wide range of learners, including:

Our students study various subjects in both Italian and English, alongside Spanish as a second language, creating a truly multilingual educational environment.
The Role
The successful candidates will join a collaborative and motivated teaching team and will be expected to deliver engaging, student-centred lessons across a variety of age groups and levels.
Teachers are assigned an average of 25 teaching hours per week, generally from Monday to Friday, although some schedules may run Tuesday to Saturday depending on course requirements.
Teaching duties may include:
General English courses
Cambridge English exam preparation
English for Young Learners and Teens
English for Academic Purposes
Business English
Cambridge International Curriculum subjects
Off-site lessons in companies and state schools
Online teaching sessions
PON/PNRR funded educational projects
Depending on experience and qualifications, teachers may also teach:
ICT
Maths
Science
to EAL learners in primary and middle school.
Teachers are expected to:
Plan and deliver effective lessons tailored to student needs
Monitor and assess student progress
Maintain high professional and academic standards
Participate in meetings, workshops and professional development activities
Work collaboratively with colleagues and academic coordinators
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Communicate effectively with parents,
students and staff where appropriate
