WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Job Title: IT Support Engineer – End-User & Infrastructure Services
Location: Rome (Anagnina Area), Italy
Join our client’s elite technical team in Rome, supporting key activities for European space programmes. The company is a long-standing partner of space agencies and institutions, with deep expertise in IT systems, operations, and engineering support for ground segment infrastructures.
We are looking for a motivated IT Support Engineer who is eager to start or strengthen their career in a dynamic, international environment.
You will join our client’s high-performing IT department, ensuring the functionality, performance, and support of end-user IT services.
A B2 level of English is required.
YOUR TASKS
- Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for end-user devices, workstations, printers, video conferencing tools, and office IT equipment (on-site and remote).
- Manage incidents and service requests from start to resolution, including ticket tracking and escalation when needed.
- Coordinate with internal SMEs and third-party vendors for timely issue resolution and equipment procurement.
- Assist with Asset Lifecycle Management: procurement, tracking, inspection, deployment, inventory, and disposal of EOL items.
- Prepare and deploy laptops, mobile devices, tablets, peripherals, and video conferencing tools.
- Contribute to IT projects through support during design, implementation, and early operational phases.
- Document solutions and update internal knowledge databases to promote long-term issue resolution.
- Propose and support automation and workflow improvements to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 2 years of direct experience in IT end-user support or technical operations.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Microsoft Windows and Office 365 suite.
- Device and identity management tools: Active Directory, Entra ID, InTune, Defender, Autopilot.
- Polycom video conferencing systems and related equipment.
- Fluent in English and preferably one of the official languages of the country of assignment (e.g., Italian).
Preferred:
- Hands-on experience with IT asset lifecycle processes.
- Good documentation and process standardisation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support users, coordinate with vendors, and contribute in a matrixed international team.
- Proactive mindset with a customer-centric approach and attention to detail.
