IMA LIFE, a division specialized in the design and manufacturing of machines and complete lines for the processing of liquids and powders in aseptic environments, is looking for an HMI/SCADA Software Engineer.

Location: Castel San Pietro Terme (Bologna), Italy.

JOB SUMMARY

- Design and configure HMI/SCADA systems for automatic machines and production lines serving the pharmaceutical industry.

- Develop and implement data collection and analysis systems.

- Collaborate with the R&D;, Electrical Hardware Design, and PLC/Machine Control Software Engineering teams to ensure the proper operation and integration of machines and production lines.

- Install, test, and debug software on machines and industrial plants.
- Perform software installation and commissioning activities at customers' manufacturing facilities.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

- Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.




- At least 5 years of experience in technical IT roles or in industrial environments focused on software design and IT services.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects independently and proactively.
- Willingness to travel worldwide for short business trips.
- Good knowledge of client/server architecture design and local computer networks.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Windows Server operating systems and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Good written and spoken English skills.

WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU A GREAT FIT

- Knowledge of one or more of the following applications: GE Vernova iFIX, Rockwell FactoryTalk, Siemens WinCC, COPA-DATA zenon, Inductive Automation Ignition, and AVEVA PI System.
- Good knowledge of C#, JavaScript, and Python programming languages.
- Good knowledge of VMware and virtualization and redundancy technologies.

The starting gross annual salary (RAL) will be €42,000, under the Italian National Collective Labour Agreement for the Metalworking Industry (CCNL Metalmeccanica Industria), with the possibility of salary increases based on the candidate’s experience and skills, in accordance with objective and gender-neutral evaluation criteria.
