The Commercial Director is a senior leadership role responsible for driving an organization's revenue growth and market expansion. This role involves overseeing the entire commercial strategy, from high-level planning to hands-on execution, and is pivotal in aligning sales, marketing, and business development functions with the company's overall objectives.

Core Responsibilities

- Commercial Strategy & Growth: The primary duty is to develop and execute comprehensive commercial strategies aligned with business goals. This includes identifying new market opportunities, customer segments, and revenue streams, while monitoring market trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
- Sales Leadership & Performance: The Commercial Director leads, coaches, and develops the sales organization. This involves establishing clear KPIs and performance metrics, driving a high-performance sales culture, and owning the company's sales targets and revenue goals.
- Stakeholder & Partnership Management: A key aspect of the role is building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, strategic partners, and industry stakeholders. The director leads negotiations for major commercial agreements and identifies partnership opportunities to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: This role works closely with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure a strong product-market fit and maximize commercial opportunities.



The Commercial Director also provides customer and market feedback to influence the product roadmap.
- Financial & Operational Oversight: Responsibilities include managing budgets, developing accurate sales forecasts, and analyzing commercial performance data to support strategic decision-making. In some industries, this may also involve overseeing contract management, risk mitigation, and procurement activities.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

- Experience: Typically requires 10-15+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience, with a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and building high-performing teams. Senior leadership experience is a must.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is usually required. An MBA or other advanced degree is often preferred.
- Industry Expertise: Deep knowledge of the specific industry is crucial. For instance, roles in fintech/tech require expertise in SaaS, payments, and merchant technology, while healthcare roles demand experience in pharmaceutical commercial roles.
- Core Skills: Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, analytical, and communication skills are essential. The candidate must be data-driven, possess strong negotiation skills, and have experience with CRM platforms

Job Types: Full-time, Tempo parziale

Pay: €100,000.00 - €160,000.00 per year
