ph3Short-term Trader - Italian gas power market /h3 h3The role: /h3 pMy client is looking for someone to join their Power trading team for the Italian market. The candidate will play a vital role in maximizing profitability and minimizing risk through efficient and effective trading and logistics strategies. /p h3Responsibilities: /h3 ul liShort-term demand forecasts /li liExecute daily and within-day trading in the Italian Power market, including buying and selling power to capitalize on market fluctuations and optimize profitability /li liMonitoring and optimisation of the gas customer portfolio, limiting risk within the established parameters /li liCollaboration in regulatory monitoring and analysis of potential impacts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks and taking advantage of opportunities /li liSupporting trading strategies with innovative tools and data analysis, backtesting, ecc. /li liApply gas trading insight to design, optimize and rethink automated trading tools /li liGenerate positive P/L and capture market opportunities based on analysis of market conditions /li liLead Algo-Trading Project in the Italian Power Market, with a specific focus on the Italian XBID market, including strategy design, implementation and operational supervision /li liForecast and control the market guarantees required in the Italian gas market, including balancing, transport capacity, storage capacity, and other regulatory requirements.



Ensure compliance with market guarantee regulations and optimize financial performance. /li liProgramming and nomination of gas storage operations, participation in gas storage capacity auctions and identification of flexibility opportunities to improve the PL of storage activities /li liSupport short-term trading and operational activities in the Italian power market /li /ul h3Qualifications: /h3 ul li1 to 2 years of experience in power trading, logistics, or a similar role within the energy industry. /li liBachelor's degree in a relevant field such as economics, engineering, finance, or a related discipline /li liFluency in Italian and English (oral and written) is essential. /li liHigh analytical and teamwork skills /li liExperience in programming and data analysis, with working knowledge of Python and SQL /li /ul h3Who are you? /h3 ul liGoal-oriented with high performance standards and strong ownership mindset /li liStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured and meticulous approach /li liAbility to work with large datasets and use appropriate analytical tools (e.g. SQL, Python) /li liFamiliarity with forecasting models applied to short-term energy markets /li liProactive, with a can-do attitude and a continuous improvement mindset /li liComfortable operating energy markets, opening and managing positions while effectively assessing and controlling risk /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
