Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Washes, cleans, and sanitizes dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently and promptly
- Maintains cleanliness of all kitchen areas including floors, counters, workstations, and storage areas
- Assists with basic food preparation tasks as instructed by chefs, such as peeling, chopping, or portioning ingredients
- Ensures proper storage of ingredients, checking dates and labeling items correctly
- Operates kitchen equipment safely and reports any malfunctions to supervisors
- Follows all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures
- Assists in receiving deliveries and storing goods in the correct locations
- Maintains high standards of personal hygiene, grooming, and professional conduct
