Role Description This is a contract, hybrid Technical Sales Consultant role based in Bologna, with the flexibility to work from home for part of the schedule. The Technical Sales Consultant will identify and engage prospective clients in the biotechnology sector, deliver product presentations and technical demonstrations, and guide customers in selecting solutions that meet their scientific and business needs. Daily responsibilities include managing a sales pipeline, preparing proposals and quotations, responding to technical inquiries, and coordinating with internal technical and product teams to ensure accurate information and timely support. The role also involves troubleshooting customer issues related to product use, providing post-sale technical support, gathering market and customer feedback, and contributing to sales forecasts and strategic account planning. The consultant is expected to maintain detailed documentation of customer interactions, participate in industry events or webinars when needed, and uphold high standards of ethical and compliant selling practices.




Qualifications
- Strong sales skills, including prospecting, pipeline management, negotiation, and closing.
- Consulting capabilities to understand client needs, design solutions, and build long-term relationships.
- Technical support and troubleshooting skills to address product-related questions and resolve customer issues.
- Analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and support evidence-based sales strategies.
- Background or education in biotechnology, life sciences, or a related technical field.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Comfort working in a hybrid environment, with strong self-organization and time management.
- Professional proficiency in English and Italian; additional languages are an advantage.
- Prior experience in technical sales, field applications, or scientific consulting is preferred.
