Experteer Overview As Staff MEMS Product Engineer in Milan, you lead development and productization of MEMS devices for automotive applications, driving validation and failure analysis across development to production launch. You will coordinate cross‐functional teams and manage test development, architecture characterization, and supplier interactions. Expect hands‐on troubleshooting and data‐driven quality improvements to bring new products to ultra‐high‐volume production. This role offers a meaningful impact on advanced sensor systems within a global, collaborative engineering culture.
Benefits Lead sensor development activities including validation, root‐cause analysis, and test development
Manage schedules and materials for various test and product chips
Characterize new product architecture/platform and develop testing plans per customer requirements
Coordinate with suppliers on test infrastructure, silicon fabrication and packaging
Represent the Product Engineering team in cross‐functional meetings with Engineering and Operations
Provide weekly status updates including risks and mitigations
Maintain engineering requirements for sensors and collaborate with Marketing on datasheets
Responsibilities MS in EE/CS/Mechanical Engineering with 5–8 years of relevant experience or PhD with 3–6 years (preferred)
At least 2 years of automotive sensor experience preferred
Fundamental knowledge of MEMS inertial sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope) and MEMS fabrication processes
Excellent programming skills (Python and/or Matlab); familiarity with C#, embedded programming, and signal processing preferred
Strong data analysis and statistical analysis skills
Hands‐on experience with analog debugging/characterization (spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes) and failure analysis
Experience with semiconductor, mixed‐signal, and MEMS testing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
