Your role As an Engineering Manager, you manage the successful development of new project portfolio and project development for standard+ products, making Eurochiller recognized product leader in the PCS market.
Oversee the general strategy of local project portfolio development (new products, standard+, projects for specific customers), follow-up and localization in production, against the committed time, cost and quality requirements, ensuring alignment with market requirements, customer expectations and divisional PCM priorities.
Establish and maintain the Engineering Department as a recognized center of competence in cooling technologies, product innovation and application engineering, while continuously developing organizational capabilities and engineering competencies.
Safeguard the quality of the design and make sure that all engineering employees are aware, master and respect design rules and Quality Assurance (QA) procedures.
Ensure succession planning, talent development, performance reviews and competence growth across the Engineering Department.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with Divisional Engineering organizations, Product Companies and Group competence centers to maximize synergies and knowledge sharing.
Bring transparency of financial performance utilizing group KPI's and measure against targets to support overall profitable growth
Support Atlas Copco sustainability objectives by promoting energy-efficient, environmentally responsible and future-ready cooling solutions.
Comply with the organization's environmental, health & safety, recycling, sustainability efforts and quality assurance policies and standards
To succeed, you will need Our preferred candidate has from 7 to 10 years of experience,
engineering university degree or similar experience. Previous experience as team coach/team leader/team coordinator is preferred;
Good command of English is a must along with local Italian language;
Deep knowledge of refrigeration systems and cooling solutions is an asset;
PC-literacy and knowledge of different CAD-programs like Auto desk inventor are essential;
Mastering modular designs, having knowledge on how to reduce noise and vibration in machinery is an advantage;
Good knowledge of the use of computer tools in particular Office (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.) and SharePoint for data analysis, reporting and presentation to Management;
Strategic thinking;
Leadership mindset and approach;
Proactive, with a core business and customer focus;
Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), digital engineering tools and engineering governance processes.
