Overview
Join Westinghouse in Monfalcone as Site Health and Safety Manager to define and update Safety rules aligned with Westinghouse direction and Italian law. You will lead a small team of safety engineers, drive safety awareness among supervisors and plant staff, and serve as the central link between the site and corporate safety functions. You will represent the Italian legal entity with authorities and ensure contracts and investments follow procedures. This onsite role focuses on maintaining robust emergency procedures, training, and ongoing safety improvements in a nuclear setting. You will shape the site's safety culture and contribute to our mission of safe, compliant operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct leadership to the safety engineers to ensure rules are clear, understood and updated
- Perform daily shop walkdowns to ensure safety rules are respected
- Guide onsite leaders and managers on Safety rules
- Collect and act on safety improvement suggestions from workers and supervisors
- Serve as the central connection point between the site and corporate Health and Safety functions
- Represent the Italian legal entity to Italian authorities
- Review investments and contracts for procedure compliance
- Maintain emergency and safety procedures and ensure training for all personnel
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field
- 8+ years of operations, RSPP, Safety experience in workshops
- Experience leading safety programs
- Execution leadership experience
- Cross-functional coordination
- Intermediate English competency at B1
