Job Description:

DXC Technology Italia is looking for an Application Technical Leader to join the Custom Application Offering.

Responsibilities

- End-to-end technical ownership of software and application solutions in the Software Engineering area, from design to production, ensuring code quality, scalability and maintainability
- Design, develop and execute business and technical solutions for the implementation of new features or system upgrades/conversions, utilizing the technology stack: Java EE, Spring Framework, Single Page Applications, Microservices, Docker and cloud-based architectures
- Technical guidance and support of junior and mid-level resources on delivery activities, code review and quality assurance
- Analysis and resolution of complex technical issues on systems and platforms, through advanced problem solving and evaluation of alternative solutions
- Direct interface with Business Analysts, Project Managers and stakeholders to gather and validate technical requirements, present proposed solutions and monitor alignment with business objectives
- Contribution to the definition of technical standards, best practices and design patterns in your area of specialization (Software Engineering, DevOps, Cloud)
- Contribution to the hiring process through technical evaluations during interviews
- Stay current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies in the software development ecosystem

We Require

- Bachelor or Master Degree (Nice to have technical field: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields)
- Advanced technical expertise on technologies: Java EE, Spring Framework (Core, MVC, Security, Data, Boot), Single Page Application frameworks, Microservices, Docker, cloud-based architectures, design patterns and SQL/NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, such as cloud AI services, LLM platforms (e.g., Azure OpenAI), basic ML frameworks and integration of AI APIs into enterprise applications.




- Advanced software development competencies: code quality, architecture design, understanding of DevOps practices and agile/waterfall methodologies
- Understanding of cloud-based applications architecture and deployment practices
- Ability to translate business needs into structured technical requirements, including those related to AI-driven features (classification, automation, RAG, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills, problem solving, focus on results, decision-making abilities and teamwork orientation.

Location: Rome (RM) with smart working possibility
