In this role you will drive automation projects for eyewear manufacturing, focusing on design support, safety-compliant software, and on-site commissioning. You will collaborate with GEARS teams to share expertise and guide junior colleagues while delivering up-time through startup, installation, testing and ramp-up of automated systems. You’ll work across PLC, robot, and HMI software, contributing to scalable, safe automation solutions that support global operations. This role offers hands-on engineering with growth potential in a multidisciplinary, innovation-focused environment.

Definition of PLC or robot or C#/C++ technical requirements and specifications

4-6 years of experience in industrial automation

Expert or basic knowledge of Omron and B&R; PLC programming software

Expert or basic knowledge of ABB and Epson programming software

Expert or basic knowledge of C#/C++ and Scada/HMI programming software

Knowledge of machinery/safety directives (CE/UL) related to software development

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work in a team and manage time
