ppWE RECRUIT DREAMERS Open Position: Recovery Systems Engineer (Parachutes Descent Architecture) — Turin, Italy /p pb(Note: We are an early-stage deep-tech startup. This is currently an unpaid, experience-building role designed for those who want to build real flight hardware from the ground up). /b /p pA successful launch is only half the mission; bringing the vehicle back safely is the ultimate test. As our Hermes suborbital vehicle falls back to Earth, we need a dedicated engineer to command its safe return. /p pIMF.Rockets is looking for a passionate Recovery Systems Engineer to join our core team in Turin. You will take complete ownership of designing the parachute deployment mechanisms, managing ejection kinetics, and developing the descent architecture that will safely recover our flight hardware. /p ul liDescent Architecture: Designing and integrating the complete dual-deployment parachute system (drogue and main chutes). /li liEjection Mechanics: Managing the structural loads, ejection kinetics, and thermal protection for the recovery bay. /li liSimulation Modeling: Running simulations to predict descent trajectories, wind drift, and impact velocities (utilizing MATLAB/Simulink or similar). /li liSystems Integration: Working closely with the avionics and software teams to ensure ejection events trigger flawlessly based on live flight telemetry. /li liHardware Prototyping:
Transitioning from digital CAD models to physically testing ejection systems and parachute deployments in the lab and field. /li /ul pWho We Are Looking For: You do not need decades of experience; you just need to be passionate, relentlessly curious, and ready to learn fast. We value grit, determination, and a hands‑on mindset far above a perfect resume. /p h3Ideal Profile: /h3 ul liStudent or recent graduate in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering. /li liBased in Turin and able to work physically in our lab. /li liProficient with 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks/Fusion 360) and comfortable with basic mathematical modeling (MATLAB). /li liA hands‑on builder who loves testing, iterating, and analyzing raw data. /li liSomeone who understands that every failure on the test stand is simply data for the next success. /li liWork on real flight hardware, not theoretical textbook problems. /li liGain unparalleled, hands‑on experience in rocketry and recovery kinetics. /li liBe part of a young, ambitious team actively shaping the future of accessible spaceflight. /li liContribute to a vehicle that will actually fly to the edge of space. /li /ul h3Our Values: /h3 ul liPerseverance /li liLearning by doing /li liSafety and responsibility /li liChallenging what’s known and pushing beyond limits /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
