ph3Overview /h3pIn this role you will advance process models and simulations to support on-line and off-line control for hot rolling. You will collaborate closely with the automation team, guiding commissioning and ramp-up of new steel production plants. You’ll analyze data, optimize process parameters, and define process rules for automation systems to ensure safe, efficient operations. The position sits in the HQ Process Engineering Office and offers a hands-on opportunity to shape plant performance and process control improvements. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliAnalyze and optimize process parameters for Level 1/2 automation systems /liliDevelop and refine process simulations and models for on-line control and offline sizing calculations /liliPrepare process descriptions, control logics, models and operating guidelines for design teams /liliAct as key interface with Process Engineering and L1/L2 teams during cold tests, commissioning, and ramp-up /liliDefine process rules for automation, troubleshoot root causes,



and implement corrective actions with L1/L2 specialists /liliLead performance guarantee testing remotely and on-site /liliCoordinate and guide process and automation specialists to align commissioning priorities and safety targets /liliCollect and analyze post-commissioning operational data and validate process/automation parameters /liliBenchmark alternative technologies and propose process-control improvements and potential patents /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulliDegree in engineering/technical field (e.g. metallurgy, materials, mechanics) /liliAt least 5 years of experience in the steel industry /liliAt least 3 years of experience in steel processing studies, process simulation and project development /liliKnowledge of main mechanical processes /liliExcellent knowledge of English /liliExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel /liliProficient in working with databases /liliProficient in C, C++, Python, or similar programming language for model development /liliExperience with FEM (Abaqus) is desirable /li /ulh3Benefits /h3ulliSalary starts from 70.000 EUR /liliOpportunity for international assignments /liliWork at a leading steel plant producer /liliIndustrial-scale projects /liliCollaborative culture /liliFocus on innovation and excellence /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
