Project Leader

We are recruiting a skilled **Project Leader** to strengthen our project management team in Milan. Your main area of focus will be to lead industrial processing plants/equipment projects. You will report to the Technical Manager of IPCO Italy. We provide an environment with fast decisions, high trust in employees and freedom under responsibility.
**Main responsibilities**: - Develop, manage and coordinate projects of industrial processing plants/equipment.
- Manage/coordinate customer interface and suppliers/subcontractors within the projects.
- Provide a high level of customer service, working closely with other members of the sales, technical and service team as required.
**Key tasks**: - Define with the Sales Manager and Technical Manager the technical configuration and the cost budget of plant/equipment to offer to Customers.
- Develop the technical project of the plant/equipment, according to IPCO know-how & Customer specifications.
- Create the management architecture in ERP system (Infor M3), keeping its status updated constantly.
- Create a healthy competition among potential Suppliers in order to get the best quality and price balance from which the project can get the best vantaggi.
- Draft the technical documentation for the Constructors / Suppliers with the support of external engineering subcontractors.
- Do periodical follow up with Customers/Constructors/Suppliers.
- Make the project planning and keep its status updated constantly.
- Conduct project reviews and create detailed reports.
- Draft the plant/equipment operation manual and update it for final release with the support of external suppliers.
- Manage the project risk analysis of the projects.




- Participate in the construction phase of the equipment, leading the activities.
- Periodically update the Technical Manager/Sales Manager on project planning and progress.
- Participate in the equipment testing phase (FAT/SAT).
- Work according to Machine Directive and IPCO procedures.
- Work in accordance with IPCO's Fair Play, Code of Conduct and core values.
**Education**
- Bachelor of Science in engineering (mechanical engineering), or other relevant education or a similar level of appropriate documented technical experience.
**Soft Skills**: - Team working.
- Proactiveness (ability to analyse and propose solutions to problems). **Technical Skills**: - Knowledge of technical drawing.
- Knowledge of material science (plastics, metals & relative heat treatments).
- Good knowledge of Design Software 2D/3D (preferably Autodesk Autocad Mechanical and Inventor).
- Basic knowledge of turning, milling and gearing machine.
- Basic knowledge of welding procedures.
**Language skills**
- Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written. Other language skills are appreciated.
**IT Skills**
- Good Knowledge of the most common Microsoft Office software.
- ERP knowledge (preferably Infor M3).
**Other requirements**
- Minimum of three years relevant industry specific working experience.
- A very good general engineering background.
- Well-organised, self-motivated and problem-solving approach.
- Open minded and willing to adopt and implement new ways of working, embrace new challenges.
