ppLocation: Paris (France) / Torino (Italy) /ppExperience: 3–5 Years /ppWork Mode: Hybrid /ppTime Zone: Europe /ph3Role Overview /h3pHCLTech is hiring a bCost Engineer – Metal Structures /b to support cost engineering activities for automotive seat components, with a strong focus on bsteel/aluminum stamping, welding, manufacturing processes, and should-cost analysis /b. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliDevelop should-cost calculations for automotive components using bottom-up costing methodologies. /liliAnalyze variable costs, tooling costs, and manufacturing feasibility for new and modified components. /liliProvide technical cost insights to support sourcing strategies and supplier negotiations. /liliConduct gap analysis of supplier quotations and cost breakdowns. /liliEvaluate engineering changes and identify cost drivers for both variable and tooling costs. /liliDrive cost reduction initiatives through benchmarking, process optimization, and standardization. /liliCollaborate with engineering, purchasing, suppliers, and global cost engineering teams. /liliVisit suppliers to assess manufacturing processes and identify best practices. /li /ulh3Required Skills Experience /h3ulliExperience in bmanufacturing, production, quality, process engineering, costing, or cost engineering /b. /liliStrong expertise in bsteel/aluminum stamping and welding processes /b. /liliKnowledge of bProgressive, Transfer, and Tandem Press operations /b.
