Job Description
The next Operations Director reporting to the CEO will be responsible for the following activities:
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and scalability across all departments.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and full alignment with the companys strategic objectives.
- Directly coordinate and manage four functional leaders (Production, Machining, Procurement, and Planning), fostering cross‑functional integration and managerial development across a workforce of 100+ headcount.
- Design and implement robust operational processes and best practices, with a strong focus on control, scalability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with C‑suite executives to drive business growth, profitability, and organisational performance.
- Monitor and analyse operational and industrial KPIs, optimising resource allocation and supporting data‑driven decision‑making.
- Ensure full compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all manufacturing processes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop high‑performing teams, promoting a culture centred on performance, innovation, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Manage budgets effectively and allocate resources to meet operational and strategic goals.
- Analyse financial and operational results,
identifying improvement opportunities and proposing concrete actions to enhance profitability and growth.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation, embedding efficiency and innovation at all levels.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate brings a solid educational foundation in engineering, management, or a related discipline, complemented by proven expertise in the assembly of complex systems gained through hands‑on experience in made‑to‑order machines.
This background is reinforced by a strong track record in managing both operational and strategic initiatives, along with a comprehensive understanding of compliance and quality requirements.
A results‑oriented mindset drives the ability to achieve business targets, supported by strong financial acumen and practical experience in budget management.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively manage and influence diverse stakeholders further complete the profile.
