Systems & Security Research Intern

Duration: 3 months Internship, with possibility of extension

At Mulini SRL we are looking for a motivated and curious Research Intern to join our team in the EU for a short-term, 3-month position. In this junior role, you will have the opportunity to work at the intersection of systems engineering, security, and applied AI, collaborating closely with our research engineers and scientists. This is an ideal position for students or recent graduates looking to gain hands‑on experience in a high‑impact startup environment.

Responsibilities

- Support the team in analyzing, testing, and developing components of our systems and security pipelines
- Assist in evaluating and mitigating vulnerabilities in networking and AI infrastructure under the guidance of senior mentors
- Collaborate on technical documentation, internal reports, and research activities




- Participate actively in team meetings and brainstorming sessions

Requirements

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- Basic understanding of networking principles and computer systems
- Familiarity with Python and general programming concepts
- Fluency in English
- Strong motivation to learn, collaborate, and tackle challenging technical problems

Preferred Qualifications

- Academic or personal project experience with systems-level programming (C, C++, Rust, or Go) or basic Machine Learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
