This position is based in Naples, Italy. /ph3Mission /h3pDesign, implement, integrate, and validate a bcomplete OT Cybersecurity Infrastructure /b for railway and critical‑infrastructure projects. /ppThe role combines bsecurity architecture ownership /b with bhands /b‑bon engineering and implementation responsibility /b, ensuring that Cybersecurity platforms and controls are deployed according to international standards, project requirements, and local regulatory frameworks. /ppThe OT Cybersecurity Infrastructure Architect Engineer acts as the btechnical authority for security platforms /b, from core IT/OT infrastructure to SOC‑enabling technologies, supporting the full lifecycle from design through commissioning and operational handover. /ph3Accountabilities /h3ulliDefines reference architectures, platform designs, and integration patterns /liliPersonally implements, configures,



and validates security platforms /liliDeep understanding of operational constraints, availability, safety, and lifecycle issues /liliCapable of designing secure solutions independently of specific vendors, while integrating commercial products effectively Design end‑to‑end OT cybersecurity infrastructure architectures aligned with IEC 62443 and TS 50701 principles /liliDefine technical standards, reference architectures, and design patterns for OT cybersecurity platforms. /liliEnsure architectural consistency across multiple projects and geographic regions. /liliActively design, deploy, configure, and validate the following OT Cybersecurity Infrastructure components /liliFunctional tests for security controls /liliIntegration testing with OT subsystems /liliSupport vulnerability assessments, configuration reviews, and remediation activities. /liliProvide technical input to Security Case and assurance documentation /li /ulh3Required Skills/Knowledge /h3ulli5 to 10 years of professional experience in IT/OT Cybersecurity infrastructure, with demonstrated responsibility for architecture and deployment.



/liliProven experience delivering cybersecurity infrastructures /liliCLC/TS 50701 /liliISO 27001 / 27005 /liliOT network design and segmentation /liliFirewalls, WAF, Proxies /liliIAM / PAM / MFA /liliNIDS EDR /liliSIEM architecture and integration /liliBackup Cyber Recovery /li /ulh3Highly Preferred Skills Knowledge /h3ulliRailway or transportation OT environments /liliSOC architecture and OT SOC onboarding /liliZero‑Trust adaptation for OT /liliExperience delivering multi‑country programmes /liliDeep understanding of OT and IT network architectures. /liliStrong practical experience with: /liliFirewalls, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs /liliIdentity systems and access control models /liliLinux and Windows server administration /liliVirtualization platforms and data‑center design /liliAbility to troubleshoot complex, multi‑vendor environments. /liliStrong documentation and architectural reasoning skills /liliStandards Compliance Security Assurance /li /ulh3Education/Qualifications /h3ulliBachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications Engineering, Automation Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical disciplines. /liliMaster’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or Systems Engineering is preferred. /li /ulh3Languages /h3pbAt Hitachi Rail, there is a place for everyone.
