We are seeking a Senior Sales Advisor who embodies a natural sales instinct, refined presence, and a deep understanding of luxury client experience. This role is ideal for someone at the earlier stages of their retail career, with a strong passion for sales, client relationships, and the world of fine jewellery.
Role Overview
The Retail Manager will support the daily operations of the Fairmont Monte-Carlo boutique, with a primary focus on driving sales and delivering an exceptional, highly personalised client experience. Working closely with the Head of Retail, this role is both client-facing and commercially driven, balancing emotional storytelling with confident sales execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive individual sales performance, contributing actively to store targets and KPIs
- Deliver a refined, personalised client journey from first interaction to post-purchase follow-up
- Confidently present collections through storytelling, product knowledge, and emotional connection
- Support high-value sales and assist during private appointments and High Jewellery viewings
- Build and nurture long-term client relationships, encouraging repeat business and loyalty
2. Clienteling & Relationship Building
- Maintain and develop a personal client book
- Follow up with clients post-visit to strengthen relationships and drive retention
- Support VIP client experiences with discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Actively contribute to converting international hotel guests into long-term collectors
3. Retail Operations Support
- Assist in daily opening and closing procedures,
ensuring security and operational excellence
- Support inventory handling with precision and care, respecting fine jewellery protocols
- Maintain impeccable store standards, visual merchandising, and overall brand environment
- Assist in stock organization, replenishment, and reporting
4. Pop-Ups & Events
- Support the execution of pop-ups and in-store events
- Assist in preparing the space, product displays, and client hosting
- Contribute to creating a seamless and elevated event experience
- Work closely with the Head of Retail and wider team to achieve sales and service excellence
- Contribute to a positive, high-performance, and client-centric team culture
- Continuously develop product knowledge and sales techniques
Candidate Profile Experience & Skills
- 1–3 years of retail or client-facing experience (luxury or premium environment preferred)
- Strong interest in sales and client-building
- Natural confidence in engaging with clients and closing sales
- Excellent communication skills in English and French
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Understanding and knowledge of stock management and sales systems
