About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of large-scale data centre projects in Milan. Working for an international design-and-build contractor, you will oversee all project phases from design through to handover, ensuring projects meet the highest technical, financial, and safety standards. This is a leadership role with responsibility for client relationships, team management, and overall project success.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of large-scale data centre projects in Milan. Working for an international design-and-build contractor, you will oversee all project phases from design through to handover, ensuring projects meet the highest technical, financial, and safety standards. This is a leadership role with responsibility for client relationships, team management, and overall project success.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the main client contact,



building and maintaining strong long‐term relationships.

Oversee all design, engineering, procurement, and construction activities.

Manage contracts, budgets, risk, and financial performance of projects.

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Managers and Engineers.

Ensure strict compliance with legal, safety, and sustainability requirements throughout project execution.

Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).

10+ years' experience in large private‐sector construction (EPC/EPCM).

Proven track record delivering complex industrial or mission‐critical facilities (e.g., data centres, logistics, or large industrial builds).

Fluent in Italian and English.

Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
