Metrology Engineer - Experteer Italy

In this role you will join the Metrology Department at our Malta site to support metrology activities for new technologies. You will help create and maintain vision recipes and participate in AOI-driven inspection and data analysis to drive improvements. You will collaborate with manufacturing, quality and equipment engineering teams to ensure safe, high-quality processes.

This is a hands‑on position in a dynamic, automation‑focused environment with a clear impact on process optimization and defect reduction.

- Assist in setup, monitoring and execution of scanning inspection for semiconductor devices

- Collect and analyze AOI data to identify trends, failures and areas for improvement





- Support optimization of AOI processes

- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and equipment engineering teams

- Document process flows and technical reporting clearly

- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation

- Adhere to safety and quality standards in all activities

- Bachelor’s or Master in Mechanical Engineering

- Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, Python, MS Power BI or similar)

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

- Familiarity with Safe Working and 5S practices

- Experience in AI integration is considered an asset
