Material Planning Supervisor

Overview

In this role you will lead the material planning function to secure timely material availability for production. You will align deliveries with production needs, oversee supplier performance, and provide visibility through reports. You’ll work closely with cross‑functional teams to sustain production continuity and mitigate supply risks. This is an impact role at Vertiv, enabling smooth operations in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

- Supervise daily material planning activities and purchase order follow‑up.
- Coordinate with production planning to align material deliveries with KPIs.
- Monitor order status and ensure on‑time supplier deliveries.
- Maintain records of purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier performance.
- Identify and escalate supply chain risks, shortages, or delays.
- Support inventory control and provide visibility on incoming materials.
- Generate reports on material planning,



shortages, and KPIs for management.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure production continuity.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred.
- 3–5 years of material planning, operational purchasing, or order management in manufacturing.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle, CyberPlan, E2Open) and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in industrial, electronics, or manufacturing sectors.
- Understanding of production planning, MRP, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with supply chain KPIs and reporting tools.
