We are looking for a: Fatigue and Vibrations Specialist Site: Pomigliano D’Arco Responsabilities: The Vibration engineer must have working knowledge of noise generation mechanisms, structural acoustics, sound transmission and propagation, acoustic absorption and damping, isolation mechanisms and an extensive background in finite element, boundary element, and statistical energy analysis modelling. Main Activities: - Operate Vibration simulation tools (Wave6, Actran, Nastran);
- Perform modal, random vibration, vibroacoustic, sonic fatigue;
- Building Vibration analysis tools and scripts;
- Perform trade studies on both configurational and operational changes to reduce noise and vibration; Main Outputs: - Develop models to predict acoustic and vibration levels
- Research existing technologies or develop new approaches to optimize vibration performance while minimizing weight
- Perform vibration analyses (source data coming from either simulation or experiment) on aircraft systems and components, including building analysis tools and scripts
- Operate simulation tools, and/or advise others in the operation of those tools, that produce acoustics and vibration data Main Interfaces: - The vibration engineer will work closely with various internal groups to guide the aircraft design from a noise and vibration perspective. Education: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Aeronautical Engineering. Seniority: Junior, 0 -3 years of experience Requirements: - Experience with wave6, or similar, FEM, BEM, SEA modeling software
- Computer programming skills, with experience in MATLAB and Python;
- Experience with testing standards, instrumentation, signal conditioning, verifying boundary & environmental conditions; Attitudes: - Problem Solving
