Sen. Financial Planning & Analysis Mgr **Global Sustainability Reporting Lead**

Run what runs the world_._ As part of our development in our Motion Business Area, we are looking for a passionate global Sustainability Reporting Lead, to bring our sustainability function to the next level. This role is open globally, but the location is set to be preferably in Europe. The work model is hybrid #LI-hybrid. This role reports to Motion Global Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;) and functionally to Motion Global Head of Sustainability. **Key responsibilities**
- Drive the execution of sustainability reporting processes for Motion business, covering internal and regulatory reporting requirements, planning processes, methodologies, data sources, internal controls and process flows.
- Act as the primary point of contact for sustainability reporting within Motion towards ABB Group (e.g. Planning & Performance Management /Long-Term Performance Plan, CSRD, EU Taxonomy, etc.).
- Act as the ABB Group Reporting Lead for Circularity, overseeing data collection, validation and reporting for Circularity, ensuring controls are in place and processes aligned with requirements.
- Monitor and assess regulatory sustainability reporting requirements in alignment with ABB Group, support interpretation and understanding, facilitate execution within Motion Divisions and Motion-led countries. This also includes close collaboration with Motion Government Relations and Public Affairs, as well as Motion Standardization colleagues.
- Ensure effective collaboration between Finance and Sustainability functions to embed sustainability topics into broader reporting and performance management. Utilize previous experience in Finance and Sustainability to challenge the status quo, and propose and drive new approaches, methods and best practices.
- Proactively drive improvements in sustainability reporting by designing, standardizing, and continuously enhancing documentation processes, ensuring they are effective, scalable, auditable, and fully aligned with ABB’s Group policies and the Motion Sustainability Operating Model.
- Drive business data quality improvement by coordinating with relevant functions,
including collaboration with Product Management and IS to enhance data quality and automation, and digital tools that support strategic sustainability insights and regulatory compliance.
- Drive the preparation of sustainability content for the EC and Motion Business reviews as well as updates to the Motion management team. In addition, further develop Sustainability dashboards to monitor sustainability performances against ABB Group and Motion targets. **Qualifications**
- Master's degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field, ideally with a focus on Sustainability or ESG.
- Deep knowledge of sustainability reporting standards (e.g., CSRD, ESRS, GRI) and experience with audit and assurance processes.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sustainability and/or financial reporting, preferably in complex, international environments.
- Strong interest in sustainability reporting, with a track record of setting up new processes, tools, and frameworks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and familiarity with financial reporting tools and Power BI dashboards.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a structured, interdisciplinary approach.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across diverse teams and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
