Role Overview
We're looking for an experienced Hardware Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end‑to‑end hardware development of High Voltage Battery Management Systems (HV BMS), including schematic design, circuit simulation, validation, testing, technical documentation, and close collaboration with customers and cross‑functional teams. We welcome applications from both permanent employees and freelance professionals with relevant expertise in automotive hardware development.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Performing development tasks based on existing hardware specifications and architectures
- Creating/updating and validating (worst case calculation & simulation) circuit diagrams
- Writing test specifications and performing hardware electrical test on development samples
- Performing process documentation (planning, module documentation, layout requirements, FMEA)
- Support technical knowledge sharing and provide guidance to less experienced engineers when required.
What You’ll Bring Along
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or a related engineering field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in HW development
- Strong knowledge of analog and digital hardware design for automotive applications.
- Experience with High Voltage Battery Management Systems (HV BMS) and Li‑Ion battery technologies.
- Good understanding of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) requirements and their implementation in hardware development.
- Knowledge of EMC/EMI design principles and hardware robustness requirements.
- Experience in hardware reliability analysis and FMEA.
- Familiarity with electrical simulation tools such as LTspice, PSpice, or equivalent.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and cross‑functional teams in an international environment.
