Experteer OverviewIn this Global Quality Engineer Lead role, you will deepen Motion Technologies’ plant and product knowledge while gaining hands-on exposure to customers and operations. The position blends shop-floor quality disciplines with systemic quality management, evolving into an international quality leadership role. You will travel, immerse in multiple sites, and drive cross-functional quality improvements. This is an opportunity to shape robust quality governance and contribute to ITT’s global manufacturing leadership.

- Support operational quality activities including production validation, containment actions, and shop-floor discipline.
- Ensure compliance with ITT Quality Management System, especially IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
- Contribute to documentation and governance: procedures, control plans, audit readiness, corrective actions, standard work.
- Analyze customer requirements, risks, and manufacturing flows to define controls and escalation routines.
- Monitor quality KPIs, trends, non-conformities, and improvement actions; provide actionable recommendations.
- Prepare for and support internal and external audits with evidence collection and lessons learned.
- Spend 60–70% of time in plants and travel up to 50% as needed.
- Lead or assist root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, and Ishikawa techniques; drive lessons learned.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Program Management on quality initiatives, validation, traceability, and launch readiness.
- Support customer visits and communications, issue reviews, and follow-ups under quality leadership guidance.
- Contribute to cross-plant knowledge sharing to standardize best practices and critical quality controls.
- Participate in project management activities tied to quality improvement, customer requirements, and cross-plant standardization.
Responsibilities
- 4–5 years in Quality Engineering or related quality roles
- Bachelor or Master in Engineering or strong technical diploma with quality experience
- Experience in automotive-oriented environments (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA) or regulated sectors
- Solid understanding of Quality Management Systems and KPIs
- Experience with audits, launch quality, and cross-functional projects
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to ~50%) and potentially relocate
- Fluent English; Italian knowledge strongly preferred
- Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions
