And that’s where you come in.AccountabilitiesPlan, monitor and coordinate engineering activities throughout the entire project lifecycle, from bid phase to final delivery, including product design, verification and validationCoordinate project teams across different engineering disciplines to ensure compliance with input requirements, applicable regulation and standards, and assigned budget, schedule, and quality targetsPrepare project documentation (both during bid and execution phase), including technical proposals, engineering plans, design review reports, etc.During bid phase, prepare and maintain the Product Data Sheet (PDS), to allow the Quotation Manager to collect and consolidate the industrial product cost to be provided to the Bid ManagerEnsure the submission of System Requirements Specifications (SyRS) for supplier engagementSupported by the Requirements Engineer, ensure requirements management throughout the entire project lifecycle, from bid phase to final delivery, by properly maintaining the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), duly tracing requirements compliance, alongside verification and validation evidencesAct as the primary technical interface with the customer,



ensuring the collection & delivery of project documentation (duly prepared and verified by relevant WPLs)Manage and conduct design reviews (both internal and with customers) for the assigned bid/project, under the supervision of relevant line managerMonitor and report project progress and performances, as well as technical risks and opportunities, sharing them with the Project Manager and promptly escalating when necessaryManage and track project KPI and open items by means of defined templates/dashboardsEffectively liaise with other departments (Project Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, Industrialization, Quality, Certification & Safety, etc.) to ensure the successful delivery of the assigned bid/projectAssess the technical impact of customer changes/VOs and support the change processManage non-conformances in line with internal processes and proceduresEnsure the submission of all relevant manuals, documentation, & training to the customerSupported by the Certification Manager and the Project Validation Manager, define the certification strategy and the validation strategy of the projectCoordinate testing activities with relevant departments to ensure appropriate verification and validationSupport the homologation phase by actively coordinating the preparation of the documentation required for vehicle approvalEnsure that engineering changes, project requirements, and project configuration are properly managed throughout the project lifecycle, in compliance with company processesRequired Skills/ KnowledgeExperience (3-5 years) in the Railway sector or in complex industrial environmentsGood knowledge of main railway regulations and standardsGood knowledge of IBM DOORS requirements management toolGood knowledge of engineering processes and railway operationsGood knowledge of system engineering and requirements management disciplinesGood knowledge of RAMS principles and processesGood knowledge of design verification and validation methodologiesGood knowledge of main vehicle architectures and functionsGood knowledge of electrical, electronic and mechanical engineering disciplinesGood knowledge of office automation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Ability to coordinate multiple functional teams across different engineering disciplines throughout complex project lifecyclesAbility to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, international and multicultural environmentStrong organizational skills, alongside team-working, problem-solving and results-driven mindsetAbility to liaise with internal and external stakeholders (including suppliers, partners, customers)Ability to work within project teams under minimal supervisionAvailability for occasional short-term national and international business tripsDesired Skills/ KnowledgeKnowledge of electrical/mechanical design software (AutoCAD, Creo, Catia, etc.)Fast learner with strong willingness to stay up to date with technological developmentsGood business acumen combined with solid technical skillsGood communication and interpersonal skillsEducation / QualificationsMaster's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or equivalent preferred).LanguagesKnowledge of written and spoken English (at least B2 level).“Alla posizione si applica il vigente CCNL per l’industria metalmeccanica privata e l’installazione di impianti, con inquadramento nel livello B2, ai sensi della relativa disciplina di classificazione del personale.”Proponiamo una retribuzione annua lorda compresa tra 36.000 € e 46.000 €Thank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
