OHB Italia is seeking an Electronic Design Engineer (Ref. IAC_2026) for its Electronic Architects Engineer unit in Milan, Rome or Turin, with an immediate start.

We are responsible for the Avionic and Electrical Power Subsystem architecture and the design/development of the space electronic units, leading relevant engineering activities throughout the entire lifecycle of projects and products, from conception and feasibility studies through bids, proposal preparation, design, implementation, launch, LEOP and in‑orbit operations and maintenance.
Responsibilities
Proven experience in electronic design and development
Develop detailed electronic schematics and layout drawings
Create and test electronic prototypes
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to integrate electrical components
Perform simulations and analyze test data to refine designs
Select appropriate components and materials for electrical systems
Troubleshoot and resolve electronic design issues
Prepare technical documentation and user manuals
Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback
Required Skills
Knowledge of ECSS standards and regulations
Proficiency in simulation tools such as MATLAB, Orcad‑SPICE and Mentor Layout Browser
Experience with embedded systems and microcontroller programming
Strong project management skills
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Ability to read and create detailed electronic schematics
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Your Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or Physics, with explicit focus on electronic design
Fluent in English (C1 and above certification) in both listening and reading
Three years of experience in a similar position
Specific Knowledge
As an Electronic Systems Engineer you will take the technical lead of the system/subsystem electronic aspects for the entire lifecycle of a project. You will start by understanding the customer electronic requirements, translating them into lower board‑level requirements, and performing a conceptual electronics design. You will then steer the electronics design team to work according to specification, planning and cost, ensuring overall technical coherence and providing follow‑up on the electronics design/development team from conceptual design to detailed implementation. xlwpduy You will also ensure proper requirement follow‑up and traceability throughout the project by reviewing the board‑level electronic circuits and assisting the project team during technical reviews, and finally prepare and participate in system/subsystem electronic functional and performance test campaigns before handing over the system/subsystem (including proper documentation) to the client.
