Experteer Overview

In this role you will develop and maintain embedded firmware for ARM and similar architectures on Linux-based platforms, contributing across the full product lifecycle. You will work closely with hardware engineers to define specifications, optimize performance, and integrate new functionalities. The position emphasizes hands‑on debugging, kernel and driver work, and cross‑functional collaboration to drive reliable, efficient embedded systems. This is an opportunity to shape product software at the firmware level in a dynamic R&D; environment.

- Create and optimize software in C/C++ within embedded Linux environments
- Configure, customize, and compile the Linux kernel, device trees, and required drivers
- Implement user-space services and applications on embedded Linux systems
- Collaborate with the hardware team to define specifications and integrate new functionalities
- Analyze and resolve performance, stability, and hardware/software compatibility issues
- Utilize debugging tools (JTAG,



oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, GDB) for problem solving
- Participate in project reviews and drive continuous improvement of development processes

Responsabilità

- Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of C and C#; good knowledge of C++
- Experience in Embedded Linux development (Yocto, Buildroot, or similar)
- Ability to compile and configure the Linux kernel, including device trees, modules, and drivers
- Understanding of common communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet)
- Experience with Git
- Familiarity with scripting tools (Bash, Python)
- Understanding of digital electronics principles and ability to read electrical schematics
