Job Advert Description **Financial Intelligence Officer (Opal)** This is a rewarding opportunity to join the Opal team within North Wales Police. We are recruiting for a temporary post within our organisation that will truly support your success in the workplace. If you’re highly organised with an ability to prioritise your workload to deliver an exemplary standard of service on every occasion, then this could be the job for you. **What does the Financial Intelligence Officer (Opal) do?** Support financial intelligence development across all operational desks. Contribute to complex investigations, managing the financial dimension and supporting wider case strategy.



Work closely with analysts and intelligence development officers across the unit to enhance financial intelligence capability. **What will I need to be considered for the role of Financial Intelligence Officer (Opal)?** **Knowledge**: - Extensive knowledge of police investigations and file preparation for serious crime
- Current understanding of legal frameworks around indictable offences
- Experience working directly with CPS and other prosecutorial bodies
- Strong interpersonal skills for relationship management and training delivery
- History of successful multi-agency collaboration **Key Skills**: - Outstanding communication and relationship-building capability
- Proven ability to influence, support and coach across diverse policing contexts
- Strategic thinking and real-world operational insight
- Calm confidence in supporting sensitive and high-risk cases
- A collaborative spirit paired with decisive leadership
