Through laser-based wireless power transmission, we aim to overcome the energy limitations of today's satellites and enable longer, more capable, and more resilient operations in orbit. We are looking for a Social Media & Communications Manager to define and lead ORiS's social media strategy and strengthen the company's visibility across the space, defence, deep-tech, and investment ecosystems. You will own ORiS's social channels, editorial planning, content formats, and digital storytelling, working closely with the founders and technical teams to turn complex engineering activities, tests, missions, and company milestones into clear and engaging content.
Alongside social media, you will contribute to corporate communications, press relations, employer branding, website content, events, and communication materials supporting partnerships and fundraising.
What You Will Do Define and execute ORiS's social media strategy, with a particular focus on LinkedIn and other relevant channels. Develop and manage the editorial calendar, content pillars, recurring formats, campaigns, and publishing schedule. Create and coordinate technical, corporate, employer-branding, and founder-led content.
Work closely with engineers and project leads to understand technical developments and translate them into accurate and accessible stories. Write and edit posts, articles, press releases,
newsletters, website content, presentations, and communication materials. Coordinate the production of visual assets, photography, video content, animations, and event coverage.
Manage community engagement and strengthen relationships with customers, partners, investors, media, and the wider space and defence communities. Monitor social media performance, define KPIs, analyse results, and continuously improve formats and content strategy. Support media relations, company announcements, fundraising communications, and major corporate milestones.
Contribute to employer branding, internal communications, conferences, exhibitions, and company events. Coordinate external designers, photographers, video makers, agencies, and other communication suppliers when required.
What We Are Looking For Degree in Communication, Marketing, Journalism, Business, or a related field. At least 3 years of experience in social media, content strategy, corporate communications, or brand management. Proven experience developing editorial strategies and managing company social channels.
Excellent
English writing, editing, storytelling, and presentation skills. Ability to understand complex technical topics and translate them into clear and engaging content.
Experience coordinating visual, video,
and written content production. Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple content streams and deadlines. Data-driven approach to social media performance and content optimisation. Ability to work closely with founders, engineers, and external partners. Nice to Have Previous experience in aerospace, defence, deep-tech, energy, robotics, or another technical industry.
Experience managing LinkedIn strategies for B2B companies, founders, or senior executives. Familiarity with press relations, fundraising communications, and major company announcements.
Experience with photography, video production, graphic-design tools, or content-management platforms. Knowledge of analytics, SEO, newsletters, marketing automation, or CRM tools.
Experience managing communication around tests, product demonstrations, missions, or technical programmes.
