Experteer Overview

As Cloud Design Engineer, you will shape the Telco Cloud platform across Vodafone markets, focusing on virtualization, cloud-ready and cloud-native strategies. You will design and support delivery of a virtualized Telco Cloud infrastructure with emphasis on VMware NFV/SDN and Red Hat OpenShift, aiming for efficiency, security and automation. You’ll collaborate with VNF/CNF onboarding teams to enable on-premise cloud deployments and ensure timely, high-quality implementations. This role offers impact through scalable cloud and network solutions aligned with Vodafone’s strategy.

- Design and oversee lifecycle of Telco Cloud solutions within Cluster IT and Vodafone markets
- Coordinate suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders to guarantee timely, quality delivery
- Deliver NVI (Network/Virtualization Infrastructure) on time and budget according to project plans
- Support automation of VNF/CNF delivery and E2E integrations




- Translate technical requirements into business language and track guideline adherence
- Manage infrastructure design for on-premise cloud environments with focus on IaaS/CaaS/PaaS

Responsabilità

- At least 4 years of professional cloud and virtualization experience
- Strong expertise in data centre infrastructure, cloud computing and virtualization architectures (IT and Telco)
- Solid understanding of virtualization (VMware/OpenShift Cloud Platform) and containerization (Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of routing and switching protocols (BGP/ISIS/OSPF)
- Experience with Kubernetes networking (CNIs, Service Mesh, Network Policies, Ingress/Egress)
- Experience with Network Load Balancers and Firewalls
- Experience in IPv6 design/implementation
- Scripting experience preferred (PowerCLI, PowerShell, Python)
- Degree qualified
