3D Technical Animator | Industrial Training & Maintenance Videos (On-Call/Freelance)

We are looking for an experienced 3D Technical Animator to support the creation and maintenance of technical training content for industrial plants and machinery.

The selected professional will develop Video Field Procedures (VFPs) and high-quality 3D technical animationsused for training, operations, and maintenance activities across industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze technical documentation, engineering drawings, and customer specifications.
- Prepare, optimize, and manage 3D models and complex mechanical assemblies.
- Create missing components from 2D drawings and technical documentation.
- Produce high-quality 3D technical animations illustrating operational and maintenance procedures.
- Develop exploded views, technical details, and supporting visual content.
- Render animated sequences.
- Perform video editing and post-production activities.
- Manage customer-requested updates, revisions, and rebranding of existing video content.

Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience creating 3D technical animations in industrial sectors such as Manufacturing, Energy, Oil & Gas, Heavy Industry, or Mechanical Engineering.




- Strong knowledge of one or more 3D software packages such as Blender, Autodesk 3ds Max, Maya, Cinema 4D, or equivalent.
- Experience working with CAD models and formats such as STEP, IGES, Parasolid, or similar.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, mechanical assemblies, and engineering documentation.
- Experience with video rendering, editing, and post-production workflows.
- Familiarity with video editing and compositing software.
- Previous experience creating animated technical procedures or training content for industrial equipment is considered a strong advantage.

Engagement This is an on-call (Business Hours) opportunity with non-continuous workload.

The activity mainly consists of updating and maintaining existing technical videos (post-production adjustments, revisions, and rebranding). As a reference, during 2025 the client requested approximately five assignments, each involving updates to a package of around 10 existing videos.

This opportunity is ideal for freelance professionals or consultants looking for recurring project-based collaborations.
