As Lead Application Engineer, you drive the end‑to‑end execution of upper and intelligent completions projects. You collaborate with service delivery teams and clients to design and mitigate risks, planning a robust job program that aligns with objectives and maximizes value. You document calculations, support on‑call activities, and lead post‑job reviews to enable continuous improvement. This role offers impact through technical leadership in a global energy services environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with iMtJC process and intelligently manage the job cycle
- Collaborate with Service Delivery Coordinator/Salesperson to understand client objectives
- Perform offset analysis and engineering modelling to assess hazards and incidents
- Coordinate with disciplines to capture all application constraints and product/service considerations
- Design job programs with risk and contingency plans to meet objectives and maximize revenue
- Document calculations, simulations, and plan revisions for visibility and audit readiness
- Provide on‑demand support aligned with product portfolio or on‑call schedule
- Compare planned vs. executed jobs, capture lessons learned,
and propose procedural improvements
- Handle field incidents related to products/services and participate in investigations
- Ensure timely incident management for customer issue resolution and cash flow
- Advise on product improvement opportunities for recurring failures
- Provide sales support and product application recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor in Engineering or equivalent (experience may compensate for education)
- 5+ years as an Application Engineer
- 5+ years of experience in Upper Completions
- Experience in Intelligent Production Systems, Lower Completions, Wellbore Constructions or Wellbore Intervention is a vantaggi
- Experience and comfort with client interactions
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
- Strong problem‑solving with a methodical approach
