Field Service Engineer - Milan or Catania, Italy
Job Summary: This is a home-based position that reports directly to the Director of Service Manager (DSM) for Europe/Israel and involves field service maintenance activities and installation support for Akrion Technologies' (a US-based company) product lines.
Perform intermediate/advanced level and preventative maintenance.
Troubleshoot technical/mechanical/flow/process/software problems with minimal assistance.
Perform customer site‐specific activities and utilize departmental procedures to assemble, test, and troubleshoot Akrion Technologies product lines as well as appropriate OEM subsystems during tool installation, warranty, contract support, and product enhancement installation support activities.
Assist senior FSE's with site inspections.
Establish and maintain with the customer a high level of satisfaction with Akrion Technologies tools and support.
Attend all customer mandatory Environmental, Health, and Safety classes.




Participate in customer data collection regarding tool performance and attend customer meetings.
Provide customers with updated non‐confidential literature regarding equipment.
Must have a complete understanding of all Standard Operating Procedures and plan daily activities with minimal supervision.
Responsible for providing required documentation through all phases of tool/product enhancement installation and warranty and contract support FSRs to the appropriate parties.
Escalate system issues appropriately by utilizing the CSR system and submitting timesheets and expense reports to the area manager weekly.
Requirements
Associate degree in electronics or applicable education and/or a minimum of 5 years related industrial experience.
Preferred related work experience with a large amount of exposure to the Semiconductor Industry, Silicon Wafer Fabrication, Environmental, Health and Safety, Flow Controls, Pneumatics, Chemistry, and Computer Programming.
