About the Opportunity

A leading Tier 1 Contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to join its growing project delivery team based in Milan, Italy , initially supporting the successful delivery of a major Hyperscale Data Centre .

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Electrical Construction Manager , Electrical Site Manager , Electrical Project Manager , Electrical Building Services Manager or Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the construction delivery of major Electrical Building Services packages on one of Italy's largest Data Centre developments.

Working closely with Project Directors, Construction Managers, Commercial Teams, Planning Teams, BIM Engineers, QA/QC Engineers and Commissioning Managers, the successful Electrical Construction Manager will provide technical and operational leadership while ensuring all Electrical Engineering works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

The Role - Electrical Construction Manager

As Electrical Construction Manager , you will take full responsibility for the site-based delivery of all Electrical Building Services throughout the project lifecycle. The successful Electrical Construction Manager will manage Electrical Supervisors, Site Engineers, subcontractors, specialist vendors and construction activities while ensuring all electrical installations are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications.





Working on a landmark Hyperscale Data Centre , the Electrical Construction Manager will coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, energisation and commissioning activities while driving programme delivery and construction excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Construction Management & Data Centre Delivery

- Lead the successful delivery of all Electrical Building Services across a major Hyperscale Data Centre , ensuring safety, quality, programme and commercial objectives are consistently achieved.
- Manage the complete site execution of Electrical packages while coordinating Electrical Supervisors, Site Engineers, subcontractors, suppliers and specialist vendors throughout the Data Centre construction lifecycle.
- Develop short-term construction programmes, resource plans and installation strategies to ensure efficient project delivery and milestone achievement.

Electrical Engineering & Technical Coordination

- Manage the installation and coordination of: LV, MV and HV Electrical Infrastructure, Transformers, Switchgear, UPS Systems, Standby Generators, Busbar Systems, Cable Containment, Cable Installation & Terminations, Power Distribution, Lighting & Small Power, Fire Alarm Systems, Security Systems, Structured Cabling, Earthing & Lightning Protection, BMS, EPMS, ICT Infrastructure
- Coordinate engineering releases, design reviews, technical submittals, RFIs, BIM coordination, procurement schedules and long‑lead equipment to ensure seamless construction delivery.
- Ensure all Electrical Building Services installations comply with project specifications, manufacturer recommendations and client standards.

Programme & Construction Management

- Work closely with Project Planners to monitor construction progress, maintain critical path activities and implement recovery strategies where required.
- Coordinate daily construction activities across multiple work fronts, ensuring labour, plant, materials and subcontractors are fully aligned with the overall Data Centre programme.
- Chair daily coordination meetings, subcontractor reviews, planning meetings and interface workshops while resolving construction challenges proactively.

Health, Safety, Quality & Commissioning

- Champion a proactive Health & Safety culture while ensuring compliance with Italian legislation, company procedures and client safety requirements across all Electrical Construction activities.
- Work closely with QA/QC Engineers to ensure Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) , inspections, cable testing, panel inspections, quality documentation and snagging activities are completed in accordance with project requirements.




- Lead construction readiness for energisation, supporting Level 1-5 Commissioning , Integrated Systems Testing (IST) , functional testing, client demonstrations and final handover activities.
- Ensure all electrical installations are completed to the highest quality standards before handover to Commissioning Teams.

Commercial & Stakeholder Management

- Support the Electrical Project Manager and Commercial Team with procurement, cost control, subcontractor management, change management, productivity monitoring and commercial reporting.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, labour productivity and construction outputs while ensuring programme milestones are achieved.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, commissioning specialists, utility providers, subcontractors and internal project teams while acting as the lead Electrical Construction Manager for the project.

Candidate Requirements

- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering , Building Services Engineering , Construction Management , or possess a recognised Electrical trade qualification supported by significant construction management experience.
- 7+ years' experience as an Electrical Construction Manager , Electrical Site Manager , Electrical Project Manager , Electrical Building Services Manager , Electrical Contracts Manager , Senior Electrical Engineer or similar leadership position within a Tier 1 Contractor or M&E; Contractor environment.
- Proven experience delivering major Data Centre , Hyperscale Data Centre , Mission-Critical , Pharmaceutical , Industrial , Semiconductor or Advanced Manufacturing projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of: Electrical Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Building Services, Data Centre Construction, Hyperscale Data Centres, Mission-Critical Construction, LV, MV & HV Systems, Transformers, Switchgear, UPS Systems, Standby Generators, Busbar Systems, Cable Containment, Power Distribution, Lighting & Small Power, Fire Alarm Systems, Structured Cabling, Earthing & Lightning Protection, BMS, EPMS, Commissioning, Integrated Systems Testing (IST), Construction Planning, Contractor Management, Quality Assurance, Construction Sequencing
- Demonstrated experience leading large multidisciplinary site teams while managing multiple subcontractors and maintaining programme, safety and quality objectives.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple high-value Electrical packages on complex Data Centre developments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office , Primavera P6 , Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) , BIM 360 , Procore , Navisworks and other digital construction management platforms.
- English fluency is essential. Italian language skills would be advantageous but are not essential for international project teams.
- Applicants must have the right to work in Italy or be eligible to obtain the appropriate Italian residence and work permit.
