Police Department Employment Opportunities
City Of Florence Police Department is always accepting applications.
Starting pay is dependent on qualifications. Job duties will include public interaction, incident evaluation, traffic, arrests/detention, officer assists, etc.
Basic Qualifications
To be considered for the position of police officer with the Florence Police Department, candidates must be met by the close of the application period.
- Must be 21 years of age
- Possess a valid driver's license (any state) at the time of application and obtain a valid Colorado driver's license by the date of hire
- Be a U.S. Citizen
- Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high education
- Must be able to read, speak, and understand English
All Applicants Must Have
- P.O.S.T. Certification
- Valid Colorado Driver's License
All Applicants Must Be Able To Pass
- A post-offer physical
- A psychological exam
- A background check
- A drug and alcohol screening
