For our Milan Headquarter offices we are searching for an Finance & Controlling Supervisor, Italy. Within the Planning, Controlling, and Reporting area of finance department. The role focuses on supporting the financial planning and control activities for Sistema Italia 93 S.r.l., the company managing the Mail Boxes Etc. network in Italy, as well as MBE Worldwide S.p.A., the group holding company that manages the Italian operations and oversees international subsidiaries developing the franchise network globally.
The role requires at least 5 years of experience progressively increasing responsibilities within accounting and finance functions, with strong exposure to financial planning, controlling, and reporting activities.
The Finance & Controlling Supervisor will report to the Planning & Controlling Manager Italy.
Compensation
€37.000 – € 45.000 gross annual salary + premio + benefits.
Final compensation will depend on experience, skills, and internal equity criteria aligned with our compensation framework.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Prepare actual monthly reporting of both companies (P&L; and BS), managing accrual booking and reconciliations
- Coordinate Italian accounting team for ensuring correct cost allocation across departments
- Perform monthly Profit & Loss and KPI analyses versus budget and forecast, identifying variances, trends, risks, and opportunities. Ensure Global reporting requirements are timely and accurately implemented into local ERP, so ensure a precise monthly reporting
- Manage both companies’s budgeting and forecasting processes, interacting all relevant departments (Local and Global), collecting and consolidating financial information,
developing budget proposals, ensuring alignment with financial targets.
- Oversee and monitor the effectiveness of internal control systems to ensure compliance and financial accuracy.
- Support working capital management through monitoring of receivables, payables, and cash flow trends, ensuring alignment with company financial targets
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments (Retail, Operations, Accounting, HR) to ensure alignment between financial planning and operational activities.
- Forecast Sales, COGS, Opex, and personnel costs together with the Direct Channel team, recommending actions to drive sales and improve profitability.
- Proactively perform financial consolidation calculations for Italian operations and subsidiaries, including Directly Operated Stores (DOS), ensuring accurate integration into the reporting system (Infor).
- Ensure the correct allocation and calculation of costs and revenues across cost and profit centers for Sistema Italia ’93 S.r.l. and MBE Worldwide S.p.A.
- Calculate and manage the annual royalties and discounts based on transaction volumes generated by network affiliates (Italy and MBE Indirect Operating Countries).
- Overview intercompany cost allocation matrices for the Parent company, ensuring consistency between allocated costs and budget assumptions and coordinating related recharges to other countries.
- Verify and coordinate the re-invoicing process in compliance with defined intercompany allocation matrices.
- Collaborate with the HR department on monthly personnel cost analysis, reconciliation and variance explanations.

- Participate regularly in follow-up meetings with the Worldwide Finance team and the Retail channel team
- Support the implementation of financial guidelines and best practices while improving monthly reporting on financial position, net working capital, and income statement performance.
Skills and experiences
- Minimum 5 years of experience in international environments within multinational companies, preferably in the service or consulting industries, with increasing responsibilities in accounting and finance functions.
- Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Italian native speaker with excellent written and spoken English.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of Microsoft Navision is considered a plus.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS) and financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.
- Knowledge of controlling practices such as budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost accounting.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and conceptual skills with a strategic mindset.
- Structured and process-oriented approach, with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Initial leadership or team coordination experience is considered an advantage.
