Flexibility – work remotely or join us at our Milan HQ whenever collaboration (and fun) We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead with a strong technical background and a product-oriented mindset to act as the bridge between business stakeholders and the technical team on an innovative project developed by Startup Bakery.
This role is both hands‐on and strategic: you will guide technical decisions, coordinate a cross‐functional team (backend, frontend, design, and data), and ensure that business requirements are translated into scalable, high‐quality technical solutions.
Act as the main technical point of contact between business, product,



and engineering.
- Translate business needs and product requirements into clear technical architectures and implementation plans.
- Lead and coordinate a cross‐functional team including backend and frontend engineers, a product designer, and a data engineer.
- Define and evolve the overall system architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Support the team with hands‐on development and code reviews when needed.
- Drive technical decision‐making, prioritization, and trade‐offs in collaboration with stakeholders.
Solid background in software engineering (backend‐oriented preferred)
- 6+ years of experience in software development, with previous experience as Tech Lead or Senior Engineer.
- Strong understanding of modern web architectures, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and data‐driven systems.
