In this role you will lead thermal-hydraulic studies to support design and safety assessments for LFR projects across France, Slovakia, and the US. You will join the Plant Thermal Hydraulics Unit within the Engineering Department, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver technical analyses, deliverables, and schedules. You will coordinate studies, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to V&V; activities and tool development. You will leverage 1D system codes (and CFD as applicable) to model steady-state and transient behavior of nuclear cooling circuits, including interactions with heat exchangers in the lead pool. This position offers the opportunity to shape safety assessments.
Benefits Conceptualize, model, and analyze thermal-hydraulic systems for nuclear reactors, focusing on steady-state and transient scenarios
Coordinate technical studies and oversee externalized activities, ensuring timely, accurate deliverables and cost/schedule reporting
Support design activities of components, especially heat exchangers in contact with the lead pool

Perform V&V; activities for thermal-hydraulic codes and identify validation gaps and R&D; needs
Lead and mentor junior team members, define activity scopes, and select appropriate tools and methods
Draft and review project deliverables (calculation notes, design specs, technical reports)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine design requirements and provide technical feedback
Responsibilities MSc in Nuclear Engineering (or Master/PhD is a plus)
Robust experience in thermal-hydraulics for single-phase and two-phase flows and heat transfer in nuclear applications
Strong knowledge of nuclear reactor safety principles
Proven experience with at least one 1D system thermal-hydraulic code (RELAP5, CATHARE, ATHLET)
CFD expertise is a plus
Experience with liquid metal reactors is a strong plus
Strong analytical skills and ability to present technical findings
Proficiency in programming
