Head of Research & Development – Mobility & Transport Planning To strengthen our Research & Development Department, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Research & Development to lead and coordinate innovative research activities in the field of mobility and transport planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic and professional background in transportation theory and mobility-related topics, covering a wide interdisciplinary spectrum ranging from sociological and behavioral aspects to digital systems, big data analytics, and emerging technologies applied to transport studies.
The role focuses on the development of advanced analytical tools to identify mobility trends, understand travel behavior, and assess the complex interactions between people’s movements and the built environment. This position requires a solid research-oriented approach combined with strong leadership and project coordination skills.
Lead and manage the Research & Development Department, coordinating multidisciplinary teams of analysts and researchers.
Develop innovative methodologies and analytical tools based on big data analytics and machine learning applied to mobility studies.
Supervise the execution of complex research projects related to transport systems, travel behavior, and urban mobility dynamics.
Promote collaboration with universities, research institutions, and international partners.
Support postgraduate research programs, mentoring PhD candidates and supervising academic collaborations.
Contribute directly to high-level scientific and technical studies through geo-statistical analysis and GIS-based modeling.
Strong background in transportation research and applied mobility studies.
Proven experience in geo-statistical analysis and GIS-based spatial analysis.
Advanced programming skills using Python and R, with working knowledge of SQL for data management.
