Experteer Overview In this role you will perform structural and fatigue analyses of composite and metal parts, using both hand calculations and advanced FEM tools. You will support manufacturing and in‐service components, compare analytical results with tests, and prepare detailed reports. You will collaborate with the Airvehicle, Design, and Materials teams to ensure loads, CAD surfaces, and material allowances are aligned. This is a hands‐on, cross‐functional role at the intersection of analysis, testing, and design, offering exposure to high‐tech aerospace programs and challenging test campaigns.
Benefits Perform linear and nonlinear FE analyses using commercial pre/post processors and MSC.Nastran
Execute explicit FE analyses (Bird Strike, Crash, Impact) with LS-Dyna, MSC.Nastran SOL 700 (Dytran), or Radioss
Support manufacturing and in‐service structural parts through lifecycle
Contribute to structural test requirements and compare analytical vs. experimental results
Prepare stress analysis and test assessment reports
Collaborate with Airvehicle for loads and with Design for CAD surfaces
Coordinate with Large Structural Laboratories for detailed and full‐scale tests
Engage with Materials & Processes for materials allowable
Responsibilities Proficiency in FEM software and solvers
Experience with explicit FE analysis
Good programming for scripting (Python, VBA)
Master's degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering
0-3 years of experience
Ability to travel outside Italy
Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
