Position Overview The Manager, Chief Engineer is responsible for the continuous 24/7/365 operation of a large TierIII data center campus, overseeing all equipment and spaces up to the PDU at the customer level. The role manages scheduled and corrective maintenance, system repairs, testing, equipment commissioning, and all critical facility startup and ongoing operations. The Manager leads a team of senior Electrical and Mechanical specialists, facility technicians, and contracted maintenance teams, reporting to the Director of Operations and coordinating with the Director of Engineering.
Essential Job Functions Oversee and supervise efficient 24/7/365 operation of all facility equipment and systems,



striving for zero downtime.
Provide engineering analysis, recommendations and energy‐efficiency guidance to customers.
Lead and develop assigned personnel, including performance appraisals, training plans, counseling and mentoring.
Coordinate and supervise maintenance and service repairs for all critical systems: electrical distribution (12kV and lower), emergency diesel generators, UPS/Battery backups, HVAC (Chillers, CRACs, Cooling Towers, Package Units), BMS infrastructure, fire prevention, and other electromechanical and control equipment.
Ensure maintenance activities comply with approved MOPs and Vantage's mission‐critical work rules.
Administer and refine preventive maintenance plans using the CMMS program.
Monitor subcontracted maintenance projects, evaluating performance and recommending in‐house solutions when feasible.
