Experteer Overview In this role you will design, review, and oversee electrical systems for oil and gas facilities, ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance across design, construction, commissioning, and operations. You will work with cross-functional teams to align electrical solutions with project goals and asset integrity. The position offers exposure to high-stakes, mission‐critical electrical design and testing in a demanding environment. You will drive electrical design decisions and support lifecycle performance improvements.
Retribuzione / Benefits Review and approve electrical power distribution designs (LV, MV, HV) for oil and gas installations
Validate SLDs, load lists, cable schedules, grounding, and lighting layouts
Approve electrical equipment selections (transformers, switchgear, MCCs, UPS, batteries, motors)
Perform electrical system studies (load flow, short circuit, arc flash, protection coordination)
Ensure compliance with IEC, NEC, IEEE, API, NEMA, ATEX standards
Review vendor documents and technical specifications; prepare MR and TBEs




Coordinate with other disciplines, procurement, and construction teams for design integration
Supervise installation activities and ensure adherence to approved designs and standards
Conduct electrical testing and pre‐commissioning; participate in FATs and SATs
Troubleshoot issues during installation and commissioning
Support operations in troubleshooting and maintenance; review condition monitoring data
Participate in root cause analysis for electrical failures; ensure asset integrity and lifecycle performance
Responsabilità Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field; 5 years of experience in electrical engineering for oil and gas
Knowledge of electrical design for onshore/offshore environments
Familiarity with hazardous area classification and equipment selection
Experience with ETAP, SKM, DigSILENT
Understanding of protection systems, earthing, lighting, and lightning protection
Experience with design
